Where to begin...
Athena, oh, Athena! She is my 3 year old Belgian Malinois and my furbaby. I do almost everything with her. Our favorite activity is hiking. We use to hike in 3 different South Jersey Parks (Double Trouble State Park, Bass River State Park, & Wells Mills County Park) when we lived down that way. Now our favorite North Jersey spots are Watchung Reservation, Mt Tammany, and Rutgers Gardens. The first time we ever hiked was in Double Trouble State Park and seeing her run off leash (she listens very well and has separation anxiety so she won't leave my side) was absolutely amazing. She sprinted so fast but never out of eye site. She's such a good girl! She has been battling kidney disease since being diagnosed with Renal Dysplasia at 6 months old. She recently got diagnosed with Anaplasmosis which is like Lyme Disease. She's my little fighter and I firmly believe that I was meant to have her. I will do anything to keep her happy and healthy!
Like my Athena, I have has some health struggles along the way. At 24 years old I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I had a surgery to remove most of the cancerous cells, but they couldn't remove all of them. I have been cancer free for 3 years now. I have a more positive out look on things because honestly life is way too short to stay frustrated or upset!
My absolute all time favorite movie is Jurassic Park. I love dinosaurs (sharks too--my IG handle is @iamaniceshark) and when Jurassic Park came out it changed my world, haha! I watch the movie at least once a week. I love how the movie was made, and how real the dinosaurs look. Some serious talent making those animatronics! I really enjoy the other Jurassic Park movies as well. I think Jurassic World was so well done too, and I'm looking forward to the second movie. I am also a HUGE Star Wars fan! My cousin Tommy knows probably everything about the Star Wars Universe and I was so intrigued and fell in love with the movies. Darth Vader is my favorite character. I would recommend starting with Episode 4. ;-)
I absolutely love the photography community. I have developed some serious and amazing friendships and business. John showed me the ropes of wedding photography 5, almost 6 years ago. I'm so happy to have teamed up with him. I have also made some amazing friends that I couldn't see my life without. Each and every one of my friends in this community helps one another grow and I'm so grateful. I'm grateful that I have learned more posing and even how to fully use off camera flash! When I started as a photographer I shot mainly concert photography so I never really used flash. Now I can't see my self photographing without flash!
