Windows on the Water at Frogbridge: The Wedding of Hannah and Charles

LB

What a beautiful wedding! Their florals and decor were gorgeous, and Hannah and Charlie were smiling all day long. It was truly a great day for all—ominous storm clouds and all.

How did he / she propose?

In October 2020 we were on a National Park road trip in Utah. We were living in a converted van that was decked out with a bed and kitchen. We were attempting to stargaze in Zion. It was a full moon so we didn’t see as many as we were hoping for. I was heading back into the van and I turned around for some reason. Charlie was there on one knee with an open ring box and asked me to marry him. It was the sweetest thing ever and I was so caught off guard.

Describe your ceremony in three words:

Rain, Wind, and Rainbows

What is your ceremony music?

Marry Me by Train. I knew I wanted it at my wedding from the first moment I heard it. Sometimes you have to listen to your high school instincts.

Who is your officiant? How did you choose him/her?

Cole is a close friend of Charlie. They met in the 5th grade and have been friends ever since.

What was your favorite thing about your wedding ceremony?

We were taking portrait pictures right before the ceremony was scheduled to start, but it was an outdoor ceremony and dark cloud was quickly approaching. We chose to start the ceremony a little early to beat the rain, we didn’t. Once the bridal party started to walk down the aisle the sky opened up and a double rainbow appeared. It was the most magical ceremony and it was better than we ever could have imagined.

Why did you choose the ceremony and reception locations?

I wanted an outdoor ceremony and Charlie wanted the reception in a tent. Windows on the Water at Frogbridge was the best of both worlds. It was the perfect venue!

How would you describe your reception theme?

Enchanted forrest.

Tell us about the cake!!

Funfetti! It’s the best kind of cake!

What is the first dance song? Father/daughter or mother/son dance?
All My Love by George Ezra- first dance
Dance with my Daughter by Jason Blaine- father/ daughter

What advice do you have for other couples in the midst of planning a wedding?

RELAX. It’s your wedding day. Don’t worry about what could go wrong. You want to spend the wedding day with your person. The rest will come together.

What was your favorite moment from the day?

Our favorite moment was getting married. We were able to start the rest of our lives together while spending the day together with all our friends and family.
